Kids Expo is celebrating it’s 15th year on Saturday and Sunday, September 25 and 26, 2010 -- The Poughkeepsie Waterfront!

This is one huge event

Many local businesses have booths there

My favorite local radio station , 107.3 WRWD , always has a fun booth

Last time I took my children ,they got to be "dj's" ...It's full of educational and fun booths , and provides raffles , free items and so much more

It's always a day full of fun and gets the kiddos really tired when they get home ( always a bonus )

It's also a chance for parents to learn of activities in the Hudson Valley and provides coupons and other money saving ideas on how to keep your children happy , healthy and educated

FREEBIES - Are They Worth it?

I have to question promoting every freebie offer on the world wide web
If a freebie isn't going to make my life simpler or better , is it worth getting?

Freebies are everywhere
There are about a trillion sites offering free stuff

I used to want to order freebies just to fill my mailbox
It used to make me feel less lonely ,in a weird type of way
My awakening came earlier this week , when a package addressed to my 10 year old daughter arrived --it was a free cookbook for Chron's Disease!
Once I stopped laughing , I realized that freebies are not all useful
I took a moment to reflect on my new blog
I thought - how cool would it be to find a blog that only offered me information I can actually use in my life?
I am prepared to be the sort of blog to my readers
While my blog may not be on the Top 10 Freebies list , hopefully it will serve its original purpose

I want to try and help my local neighbors and not so local neighbors save money on the most important items you need
